Today, District Attorney Mike Keane welcomed 27 law students who will be working as legal interns in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office this summer.

The internship program is open to students who have completed at least one year of law school. Interns are assigned to a bureau in the office where they will assist with discovery, conduct research, observe court proceedings, and help prosecutors prepare for hearings and trials.

We are currently accepting applications for the Fall internship program, which runs from August 31 to December 4, 2026. Our Fall and Spring programs are less structured than the Summer program to accommodate students’ class schedules and the needs of our office.

Today, we remember the ten innocent lives that were lost in the 5/14 tragedy at Tops Friendly Markets on Buffalo’s East Side. We continue to stand with the families, survivors, first responders and all who have been impacted by this crime.
