Our first ever Evening Community Update Meeting was a huge success. Creating spaces like this is so important because it gives residents the opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and hear directly about the decisions, developments, and initiatives happening within local government and throughout the University District that may impact their everyday lives.

We’re committed to making community engagement more accessible, transparent, and meaningful for everyone. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared their voices, and took part in the conversation.

We are grateful for the support of Success & Me, Buffalo Metropolitan Credit Union, M&T Bank, and Edward Jones Financial Advisors in hosting our 2nd Pathways to Prosperity and Big Success event. Additionally, we'd like to thank the parents of our Young Entrepreneurs for their active participation and for helping some of our young entrepreneurs sell out their goods, which was truly outstanding. We're excited about the prospect of engaging more young entrepreneurs in our next event and providing them with valuable learning experiences. It's essential to recognize that success is not something that can be waited for; it requires proactive effort and determination. By investing in our youth and promoting financial literacy, we can unlock their potential and set them up for long-term success. Effective financial management and informed decision-making are crucial for achieving our goals and securing our future. Let's prioritize financial education and empowerment, and work together to create a better future for ourselves and our communities.

For too long, many communities have felt overlooked, underfunded, and unheard. But hearing real conversations about investing back into neighborhoods, creating opportunities, improving resources, and helping everyday citizens is something that deserves attention.

A city budget is more than paperwork and percentages. It reflects priorities, values, and who is being fought for.

From community development to public services, youth opportunities, economic growth, and support for families, this budget discussion represents the possibility of real change and real progress for our city. Buffalo deserves leadership that listens, leadership that acts, and leadership that understands the struggles and needs of the people.
