We have to give a massive shoutout to our first ever EVCS Communications intern, pictured here on the left, Eli! Eli has been hard at work all summer tabling in the community with EVCS staff, interviewing alumni, editing video content, assisting in the admissions department, helping out with on campus community events, and more!

Fun fact: He is also an EVCS alumnus, creating a perfect full circle moment of helping parents and families to see what it is like to learn and be part of the EVCS community as someone who has experienced it first hand.

During the school year, he also serves as a substitute teacher and is hard at work as part of the Fredonia Communication Department, completing his degree.

We are grateful to have worked with Eli and SUNY Fredonia all summer and can't wait to see what he achieves as he continues his career!

Getting ready for the new school year or fall sports season? Free sports and school physicals will be available at two upcoming community events:

📅 Saturday, August 8 | 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
📍 Buffalo Museum of Science

📅 Saturday, August 22 | 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
📍 1168 Seneca St., Buffalo

Dental screenings and hands-only CPR instruction will also be available. Appointments are encouraged, with limited walk-ins welcome.

For school physicals, please bring a parent or guardian and your school’s required form. Vaccines will not be offered.

What a wonderful evening with Shakespeare in Delaware Park!

EVCS was honored to host their 51st season's touring show, Fools & Foes. There were laughs and there were gasps as members of our school community and broader Buffalo enjoyed an unforgettable series of performances showcasing iconic villains and comedians.

A massive thank you to all performers and staff at Shakespeare in Delaware Park!

EVCS is proud to collaborate with fantastic organizations in the community to provide educational, information, and entertaining opportunities just like these.

We are so excited to kick-off the school year with our annual Family Open House and Supply Drop-Off event!

Drop-off your school supplies before the start of the school year, meet your teachers, and dine on hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, and a sweet treat!

Staff will be on hand to help with School Dismissal Manager and ParentSquare. EVCS merch will also be available for sale!

Supply Drop-Off is August 27, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm at both campuses. Kindergarten Orientation is from 4 to 4:30 pm OR 5:30 to 6 pm.

EVCS Hertel will be the host location of Shakespeare in Delaware Park's touring show this summer!

Join us August 3, 7 PM at 665 Hertel Avenue for highlights of numerous Shakespeare scenes.

This show is free to attend and open to all of the EVCS Community and general public (bring friends and family!) It will be outside in the school bus loop greenspace, seating is not provided – Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Picnics are welcome!

Please note, actors will be available to collect donations at the end of the show in support of Shakespeare in Delaware Park.
