Today, members of the Majority Caucus were proud to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Buffalo Bills stadium; an exciting milestone for Erie County and Western New York.

The Erie County Legislature played an important role in negotiating both the stadium agreement, lease, and community benefits agreement, working to ensure that this investment benefits our residents, protects taxpayers, and keeps the Bills in our community for generations to come.

This project represents more than a new stadium; it is an investment in jobs, economic development, and our region’s future. Thank you to the men and women of labor that made this gorgeous stadium possible. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have across Erie County and celebrating many memorable moments here in the years ahead.

Today I had the chance to honor Peter Tripi on his retirement after nearly 40 years of service to the County! Pete was apart of the Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) from being a public health aide to becoming the Associate Public Heath Sanitarian. I would like to thank Pete for all he has done for the County and wish him the best in retirement!

The Erie County Legislature’s Majority Caucus today passed the County’s 2025 year-end budget close-out together with the 2026 Consolidated Bond Resolution, advancing a package that redirects $2.3 million to neighborhood-scale revitalization while authorizing $92.5 million in capital investment across roads, bridges, libraries, parks, and public safety facilities.

Today, my sponsored bill, the Biometrics Transparency and Privacy Act, was passed by the Erie County Legislature making Erie County the first county in New York State to ban businesses from collecting, storing, or selling customers' biometric data. I want to thank my colleagues in the Erie County Legislature Democratic Caucus for their support of this law. This law will protect the privacy of all Erie County residents.
