This special guy was found living with a feral cat colony out of desperation, he is NOT feral and quickly showed people that he would rather be with them than on the streets! Unfortunately he has seen his share of hard times defending himself on the street and as a result is FIV+.

Thriller is in a foster home! This big old guy is so cool. He’s friendly, walks great on his harness or leash, is housetrained and crate trained, loves baths and car rides, takes and gives toys gently, sits and does a cute “tap dance” for treats, is friendly with dogs and does well with respectful children, snuggles right up for a neck scratch or belly rub and is in general an awesome dog.

He’s 11 years old but has pep in his step and will be the best friend you’re looking for. If you are looking for a couch potato that also likes to trot around the neighborhood he’s your man! He’s a big guy, at 85 pounds, and is low and wide like a small mastiff but is a gentle giant. He has a lot of old man bumps but is in good health for a guy his age. He’s sponsored by our Special Paws & Silver Whiskers program and Danahy Real Estate!

His former owner told us he should not live with cats but other than that he loves everything and everyone he has met. He is currently living in a home with elementary age children and another large dog and doing well.

Thank you to Utilant, their employees, family and friends for their donation to the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter! Pat and Jill Davis adopted their dog Chase from our shelter 12 years ago, and in his memory made a donation for our shelter animals!

Utilant's CEO, Pat Davis, and his wife Jill had the privilege of delivering just over $20,000 to the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter in memory of beloved office dog Chase. Tremendous thanks to friends, family members, and Utilant employees who raised money to help with the shelter’s many programs such as the Medical Fund, Special Paws, and Silver Whiskers, Train-A-Bull, and the Adoption Vehicle Fund. Handsome Leroy wants to be king of your castle. He’s about 1 year old, and a pretty laid back and very friendly guy. He did come in with another cat and dog, but he hasn’t been very into making new cat friends since he’s been with us. He’s currently at the adoption center at PetSmart on Elmwood Ave in North Buffalo.
