On Veterans Day we honor all who answered to a service call.
Soldiers young, and soldiers old. Fought for freedom, brave and bold.
Some have lived, while others died. And all of them deserve our pride.
We're proud of all the soldiers who, kept thinking of red, white and blue.
They fought for us and all our rights, they fought through many days and nights.
And though we may not know each name, we thank ALL veterans just the same.

Attention: Families of children and adults with developmental disabilities!

As our children and loved ones with developmental disabilities mature and age, the types of supports they require changes. And as we age, the level of support we can provide also changes.

Whether you are the parent of a child receiving the initial developmental disability diagnosis, the parent of a teen seeking greater independence, you have a family member in your care that you know will eventually outlive you, or if you are just curious about the different services offered by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), then join the OPWDD for a Dinner and Discussion on their services on November 19th from 5:30 to 8 PM.

Topics will include life plans, self-directed services, day options, residential options, family support services, special education, and assessments.
