LISC partners with under invested places, and people working to access opportunities, and connects them with hard-to-tap resources. We pool public and private dollars, and in turn, invest those dollars through financing, technical and management assistance, trainings and capacity suppo

rt to local partners and developers. We invest in housing, business, jobs, education, safety and health. Western New York is proud to be one of the 35 local offices, covering 45 states.

Our Story

LISC's Buffalo office was opened in late 1998. Since then we have worked with local not-for-profit partners, private developers, local government and schools, and have provided funding and technical assistance to support projects that are contributing to healthier and more sustainable communities, and improving the lives of the families that live within them. Our not-for-profit partners are planning strategically, building their capacity, engaging resident and business leadership and creating positive changes for their communities. In 2020, we announced our name change and expansion of service to the Western New York community. LISC Western New York thanks our partners for their on the ground work, and our funders for their support and guidance.
