Buhl Fire Department The BFD provides fire and EMS services to the City of Buhl and the Buhl Rural Fire District

The Buhl Fire Department provides fire suppression, extrication, and rescue services as well as public education to the citizens our service area. The EMS division provides basic life support (non-transport) to the same area. We have mutual aid agreements with all of our surrounding departments; as well as, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL).

We feel so grateful and honored that Two In Two Out was able to see a need for our firefighters health that they secured a massage chair, red light therapy, a cold plunge and sauna. These firefighters work hard and now having a spot for them to recover after being on a fire is crucial. We also want to give a great huge thank you to Petersen Brothers Construction Inc. and Elite Restoration for sponsoring the wellness room. We feel so lucky to be in the Magic Valley and surrounded by so much support! We will be setting the wellness room in our new station once it is built and look forward to everyone coming and seeing how amazing it is.

Today we celebrate Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to give a huge thank you to our District Clerk, Tawny Cooper.

Tawny is the backbone of the Buhl Fire Protection District. From keeping our operations running smoothly to supporting our firefighters and leadership, her dedication, organization, and attention to detail do not go unnoticed. She handles countless responsibilities behind the scenes that make a big difference in how we serve our community every day.

We are grateful for her hard work, professionalism, and positive attitude. Thank you, Tawny, for everything you do for our department and the community we proudly serve.

A little history on Buhl Fire... Gladly!
10 years ago Andrew Stevens became the Chief of Buhl Fire, his first move was to hire Jayson Wheeler. Now we are celebrating a decade of having a great Chief and a grade A Firefighter! Chief Stevens and Lt. Wheeler, thanks for hanging on tight and protecting this community for 10 years!!
