Welcome to the Bullhead City Animal Shelter (BHCAS), soon to be the Bullhead City Animal Resource Center (aka BARC)! We’re excited for the opening of
the new facility! Until our move date in early 2026, we’ll remain at 2270 Trane Rd; Bullhead City, AZ 86442, (928) 763-6000. The Bullhead City Animal Shelter's mission is to promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals though effective education and outreach, while providing excellent customer service. Some services BHCAS offers are licensing for BHC residents, adoptions, and hosting low cost vet clinics. BHCAS takes in over 1,700 animals each year and is a NO KILL FACILITY. We are proud to be a network partner with Best Friends Animal Society. Over a year ago, the shelter separated from the Bullhead City Police Department and Animal Control, but we still have a great relationship with them. If you need to report a dog bite, dog running at large, welfare check, snake, or any other animal related calls in the City, please call the non-emergency dispatch line at (928) 763-1999.
