Members of the Bullhead City Police Department were proud to attend the Arizona Gang Investigators Association (AZGIA) Conference this week, joining gang investigators and law enforcement professionals from across the country and internationally.

Bullhead City Police Detective Jeff Viles was presented with the Team Award for Excellence, recognizing his critical work as an expert witness in the murder trial of Keith McCullough, a high-ranking member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. Detective Viles provided pivotal testimony that helped successfully secure a conviction in the case. Detective Viles is assigned to the Arizona Department of Public Safety State Gang Task Force (GIITEM).

DPS Trooper Josh Stinnett, assigned to the Kingman area, was also recognized with the Presidential Award for Courage. Trooper Stinnett was honored for his actions in apprehending a violent gang member wanted for attempted murder on a remote section of highway outside Lake Havasu City. Facing the suspect alone without immediate backup, Trooper Stinnett had to engage in a physical fight to successfully take the dangerous individual into custody.

The conference highlighted the importance of collaboration between agencies and jurisdictions in identifying and dismantling violent criminal networks that impact our communities. The Bullhead City Police Department remains committed to reducing violent crime and keep our city safe.

Bullhead City Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a stabbing early this morning in the 1300 block of Lincoln Lane.

At approximately 5:20 a.m., officers learned that Alexia Antoinette Bossolono, 20, and her boyfriend, Diego Alberto Brito, 20, were involved in a domestic argument involving alcohol. It was reported that Brito grabbed his girlfriend by the throat and impeded her normal breathing. It was also reported that Bossolono had stabbed her boyfriend in his chest with a knife. Brito was treated and released at the hospital.

Due to conflicting statements, both were arrested on domestic violence related charges. Brito was arrested for aggravated assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct per domestic violence. Bossolono was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon per domestic violence and disorderly conduct with a weapon per domestic violence.

Bossolono is an employee at the Bullhead City Police Department.

“I am saddened to hear of the incident involving one of our Community Service Aides early this morning. Our officers responded, conducted an investigation, and determined there was probable cause to arrest both parties involved,” said Bullhead City Police Chief Paul George. “Domestic violence incidents are among the most emotionally charged and potentially dangerous situations a person can become involved in. While professionalism and impartiality are expectations of every member of our department, I commend our officers for handling this situation objectively and professionally, regardless of the employment status of those involved.”

Bossolono was placed on administrative leave.

“The department will conduct an internal inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Upon completion of that inquiry, we will make an appropriate determination regarding their continued employment with the department,” added Chief George. “We hold every member of the Bullhead City Police Department, sworn officers and professional staff alike, to the highest standards of conduct. Those standards apply equally to everyone who wears our uniform or represents this department, and this case will be handled no differently.”

Both Bossolono and Brito were booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

The Bullhead City Police Department arrested Jorge Esteban Basurto Garibay, 31 of Bullhead City, for hindering prosecution in connection with the July 18 homicide investigation.

Detectives have been searching for Garibay since the July 18 shooting on Sea Spray Drive. Garibay reportedly hindered the homicide investigation by driving homicide suspect Christopher Pratt and concealing him from police.

Yesterday (8/13/26), detectives received information that Garibay was at a residence in the 1600 block of Palma Circle. At approximately 6 p.m., BHCPD executed a search warrant at the residence with assistance from the SWAT team. Garibay was taken into custody and later booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

Pratt was arrested on July 31 for homicide.

The homicide victim, 43-year-old Manuel Sauceda Medrano of Mohave Valley, died on July 22 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, from complications related to his injuries.

Detectives are continuing to follow up with other individuals who also reportedly hindered the investigation.

BHCPD received more of Betty’s “Caring Cases” from CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate, board members. Long time resident and volunteer Betty Moir put the Caring Cases Campaign on the top of her bucket list before she passed away in 2017.

Our officers can use these bags, filled with personal and comfort items, when tasked with transitioning children into foster care or other emergency situations.
Thank you to all who continue to support this project in Betty’s honor.

S*X OFFENDER NOTIFICATION - “Megan’s Law” requires law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding level 2 & 3 registered s*x offenders. S*x offender notifications are not intended to increase fear; instead, we believe that an informed community is a safer community and will not tolerate people who use the information to threaten, intimidate or harass offenders.
Concerned residents can search for s*x offenders (level 2 & 3) at Offender Watch: https://communitynotification.com/cap_main.php?office=55590
Citizens may enter any address of interest to them and see a map and listing of offenders within their preferred radius of that address. Then, they may confidentially register the address to be continuously monitored by the agency, which will send to them an email alerting them if an offender or predator should move near their registered address. Usually, citizens will register their homes, work addresses, parks, playgrounds, bus stops or other addresses of interest to them. Citizens may also confidentially register to be notified if a specific offender, who they wish to track, moves from their present address. Citizens may register as many addresses as they like, at no cost.

Another shoplifter we’re making famous on Facebook. Does anyone recognize this woman? If you do, please contact BHCPD at (928) 763-9200, reference case #26-23213.

This woman has reportedly failed to scan items at store self-checkouts on multiple occasions, stealing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise. She is often with a small child.

Social media continues to be a valuable tool in assisting detectives with a variety of crimes and we appreciate the public’s help.
