Update as of 10:15 The Roadway is now open! 7:00AM 5/27/26 — Use Caution in the area of Highway 66 S & Guthries Gap Rd as we have crews on scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident and the roadway will be shut down for a while due to downed power lines!

We had 4 Motor Vehicle Accidents with Entrapment/Ejection/Injuries, 1 Motor Vehicle Accident w/o Injuries, 1 Electrical Hazard, 2 Commercial Fire Alarms, 5 Landing Zones, 6 Lifting Assistances, 5 Outside Fires, 2 Residential Structure Fires, 1 Suspicious Package/Explosive, 4 Unconscious’, 1 Utility Damage, and 1 Vehicle Fire!! ⛄️❄️

For the month of November, The Bulls Gap Fire Department responded to 30 calls for service as well as 1 Public Service. We had 6 Motor Vehicle Accidents with Entrapment/Ejection/Injuries, 1 Residential Structure Fire, 1 Bleeding, 1 Cardiac Arrest, 2 Commercial Fire Alarms, 3 Residential Fire Alarms, 1 Gas Leak/ Odor Investigation, 2 Landing Zones, 2 Lifting Assistances, 6 Outside Fires, 1 Traffic Problem, 2 Unconscious’.

For the month of December, The Bulls Gap Fire Department responded to 36 calls for service as well as 1 Public Service. We had 1 Breathing Problem, 6 Motor Vehicle Accidents with Entrapment/Ejection/Injuries, 1 Motor Vehicle Accident w/o Injuries, 1 Commercial Structure Fire, 5 Residential Structure Fire, 1 Cardiac Arrest, 1 Sick Person, 5 Landing Zones, 3 Lifting Assistances, 2 Outside Fires, 2 Severe Weather Incidents, 1 Unconscious’, 1 Electrical Hazard, 3 Vehicle Fires, 1 Commercial Vehicle Fire and 2 Fire Mutual Aid calls!

🚫 No burn permits will be issued in Hawkins County today (January 21, 2026) due to low relative humidity and gusty winds, creating dangerous fire conditions.

Bulls Gap Fire Department responded to 365 Calls For Service in 2025! Our members endured: Cardiac Arrests, Heart Problems, Unconscious’, Seizures, Strokes, Overdoses, Breathing Difficulties, Welfare Checks, Death Investigations, Bleeding Calls, Heat Exposures, General Illnesses, Citizen Assists, Lifting Assistances, EMS Mutual Aid, Missing Person’s, Landing Zones, Structure Fires both Residential & Commercial, Fire Alarms both Residential & Commercial, Motor Vehicle Accidents both with and without injuries, Roadway Hazards, Motorists Assists, Fuel Spill / Odors, Public Service Standbys, Traffic Problems, Carbon Monoxide Alarms, Smoke Investigations, Gas Leak / Odors, Electrical Hazzards / Lines Down, Vehicle Fires, Wildland Fires, Outside Tank Fires, and Outside Fires! We want to thank all of our outstanding members for all that they have done for and with our department this year in our wonderful community! We wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year full of blessings and good health!!

12/16/25 at roughly 3:44am, the Bulls Gap Fire Department along side of Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department and the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office were all dispatched out to a Vehicle Fire that was in the 500 Block of Mt Zion Rd. in Whitesburg! Upon the initial page, Hawkins County E-911 would alert responders that the vehicle was advised to be roughly 5ft from the home. Thankfully while the fire departments were enroute, Deputy McGinnis with the HCSO arrived on scene and began knocking the fire down as much as possible with a onboard entenguisher in attempts to hold it off of the home until the first truck in arrived! Lakeview Fire Dept. areved on scene second at 4:05am followed by Bulls Gap arriving at 4:07am and began extinguishing the vehicle and keeping heat off of the home. The call was cleared at 5:05am, to which the vehicle was extinguished and the structure was spared of damages! Thank you for all who responded from all agencies, we greatly appreciate it!!

On Saturday, 12/13/25, the Bulls Gap Fire Department, along with the Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department and the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office, were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 1900 block of Highway 113 at 6:58 p.m. When crews arrived on the scene at 7:11 p.m. to find a fully engulfed vehicle, they quickly began extinguishing the fire. The post below shows what was salvaged from the fire. Crews were able to clear the scene at 9:21p.m.

We would like to take the time and thank all of our responding members for all of their hard work, dedication, and participation today Saturday 12/06/2025 as we had a decently busy day for everyone!

🚒🎅🏼 We started off the morning with The Annual Santa Run out of our Station 2 making sure Santa was safe while visiting all the children in our community, in which he was sent back off to the North Pole safely around noon! 🎅🏼🚒

The afternoon then proceeded to be a busy one!

🔥 At 11:43am we received reports of a Structure Fire to which we responded out to with our friends over at Persia Fire Department, Striggersville Volunteer Fire Department, Hawkins County Emergency Medical Services, Hawkins County Sheriff's Office, and Holston Electric Co.!

🚨At 11:58am we received a Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries off of Long Town Rd. In Bulls Gap to which we responded out along side of Persia Fire Dept., Hawkins County EMS, Hawkins County Rescue Squad, Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, Striggersville Fire Dept., and Tennessee Highway Patrol

🎅🏼🎄4pm was the Rogersville Christmas Parade with all of our locks friends & first responders 🚒🚑🚓

🚨At 5:39pm we received another Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries in the area of Highway 66S and Old Highway 113 to which we responded out along side of Persia Fire Dept., Hawkins County EMS, Hawkins County Rescue Squad, Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, Striggersville Fire Dept., Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency - Tennessee, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

🚨At 6:38pm we received another Motor Vehicle Accident this time w/o injuries at the intersection of Highway 113 and Old Highway 113, to which we responded out with Persia Fire Dept., Hawkins County Sheriff’s Dept., and Tennessee Highway Patrol!

🚨At 9:23pm we received another Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries at the intersection of Highway 66S and Old State Highway 70, to which we responded out with Persia Fire Dept., Hawkins County EMS, Hawkins County Rescue Squad, Hawkins County Sheriff’s Dept., Hawkins County EMA, and Tennessee Highway Patrol!

Again, thank you to all members of all different departments and agencies who have assisted with us today in all these endeavors! We ask that you keep everyone involved in these accidnets and fires, in your prayers!
