The suspect has been apprehended and is in custody. Thank you to anyone who helped by providing information!

This investigation is in connection with a structure fire that occured here in Orange County.

If you have any information, or know someone that does, we urge you to contact the New York State Police at the phone numbers provided in the shared post, or dial 911 immediately. Do not attempt to approach the subject as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Comments will be turned off due to the nature of the incident. All information should be sent to the NYSP through official channels

⚠️ Back up and running ⚠️

The road block for 17K from Union School Road to Winding Hills Road has been lifted and 17K is fully opened again!

Thank you to the crews who worked throught the heat and weather to complete this project for us.

Detours are no longer needed, and 17K is once again completely passable. Please drive responsibly!

We're back! 2026 New York Air Show is on in OC and we are back with the Pine Bush Fire Dept. standing by at Benedict Park.

We have crews here hanging out and ready for anything that happens. Along with us is the NYSP Airboat patrolling the Wallkill River.

Stay hydrated, have some food and beverages, and most importantly, enjoy the show! ✈️✈️

We send our heartfelt thoughts and support to our brothers and sisters in our own Battalion 2, Coldenham Fire-Rescue. They suffered a devastating fire at their firehouse this morning.

A firehouse isn't just a firehouse. It's our second home. It's where we come together to support our community and keep them safe. It's where we get together and hang out, train, become more educated, and keep ourselves at the ready to protect and serve the community we live in.

Bullville Fire, alongside many neighboring departments, are ready to support Coldenham in any way we can. We know they will come back bigger and stronger than ever!

Bullville and Pine Bush Fire Depts are currently on stand by in Montgomery's Firehouse providing coverage for Montgomery and Coldenham while they are operating at a structure fire in the Coldenham Fire District

As you can see, the smoke is a little thicker today than it was yesterday.

They are saying the smoke should start to dissipate by the end of the weekend into next week. We will keep posting updates as we get them.

Morning all! Here is another look at the current smoke map

As you can see, the area is becoming larger with the heavier smoke to our northwest.

As today moves along, we will provide more updates for all to see.

As always, limit your time outdoors, check on those who have health issues, and always dial 911 for emergencies!

The picture below is the current smoke map for our area. The red circle is Orange County.

We will be monitoring this through the next few days to keep the public updated on the Air Quality/Smoke Conditions

Keep yourself protected and avoid breathing in mass amounts of the smoke. If you need to be outside, utilize a mask that you feel is comfortable for you.

Evening all! We don't like it either. Its hazy, yellow, and smells like a really bad campfire outside.

With that being said, this smoke is coming from the wildfires happening in our neighbors territory to the north, Canada.

At this point, there is nothing we can do except take precautions, watch the air quality inside your house, and ride this out. Limit your activites outside until this subsides. We have to let mother nature blow this smoke away from us while Canada fights these fires.
