H-E-B plus! in Bulverde will be hosting a Lot Party Today - April 3rd from 11 am until 6 pm in the Fresh Side Parking Area.

This is their 1st Parking Lot Party for the year featuring their Seafood Boil, Games and Music. They would love to meet and visit with the community.

SAVE THE DATE! 🗑️ Big Trash Day for City of Bulverde Residents Only

The City of Bulverde will hold Big Trash Day on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 AM to Noon at City Hall, 30360 Cougar Bend.

This event is strictly for City of Bulverde residents only. Proof of residency may be required. Items from outside the city limits will not be accepted. This does not include residents in the ETJ of Bulverde.

Big Trash Day allows Bulverde residents to dispose of large household items that are not normally collected through regular trash service.

Acceptable items include:
• Furniture and bulky household items
• Appliances and white goods such as washers, dryers, stoves, sinks, bathtubs, and hot water heaters
• Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners, only if tagged by a licensed technician certifying Freon removal

Items not accepted:
• Construction or demolition debris
• Hazardous waste or chemicals
• Tires
• Batteries
• Medical waste
• Flammable liquids

Again, this service is for City of Bulverde residents only and does not include the ETJ.

🚨 UPDATE: Tuesday, March 31 11:45am
Hill Country College Preparatory High School Investigation

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the March 30 shooting.

The student used a .357 revolver brought from his home. Investigators believe he may have been experiencing academic difficulties. Prior disciplinary history is unknown at this time.

A search warrant was executed at the student’s residence. Several electronic devices were seized and are being forensically examined.

It is too early in the investigation to determine whether any charges will be filed against the firearm’s owner.

The injured teacher remains hospitalized. Her identity will not be released by the CCSO at this time.

This investigation is ongoing. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.

🚨 Update | Bulverde Incident 5:50pm

Hill Country College Preparatory High School will be closed tomorrow.
A decision about the remainder of the week will be made tomorrow by Comal ISD. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
The teacher who was shot this morning remains hospitalized. At this time, there is no update on her condition.
This investigation is ongoing.

🚨 11:40 AM UPDATE | Bulverde Incident
We want to share a confirmed update on what happened this morning at Hill Country College Preparatory High School.

A teacher was shot by a student and has been taken to a San Antonio hospital. At this time, we do not have an update on her condition.

The student involved, a 15 year old male, died at the scene.

We know this is incredibly difficult to hear. What we can tell you is this situation is contained, and there is no ongoing threat to students.

The school was placed on lockdown, and students were safely transported to Bulverde Middle School to be reunited with their parents.

Law enforcement remains on campus as the investigation continues, which is why the school will stay on lockdown for now.

We understand how scary this has been for families and our entire community. Thank you for your patience, and for helping us share accurate information.
We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more.

We want to make clear that there is no threat to any students at this time. Students are safe and the school remains on lockdown because this is an ongoing investigation.

There is NOT an active shooter situation on the Hill Country College Preparatory High School campus.
Our deputies are assisting the Bulverde Police Department with a shooting on campus this morning. However, there is not an active shooter situation on campus now. The school remains on lockdown at this time. Hill Country College Preparatory High School students have been transported to Bulverde Middle School for reunification with parents.

🚨 Active Situation in Bulverde Area
The Comal County Sheriff’s Office is currently responding to reports of a shooting this morning near a high school in the Bulverde area.

Deputies were dispatched to Mustang Vista near Hill Country College Preparatory High School following reports of gunfire.

At this time:
• One individual who suffered a gunshot wound has been transported to a hospital
• It is not yet confirmed whether a suspect is in custody
• Law enforcement is actively working to secure the area

Information is still limited and this remains an active situation.
We will continue to share updates as more details are confirmed.
