❄️ Winter Storm Safety Check-In ❄️
Hey friends!!! With this crazy winter storm moving through, we just want to take a minute to help everyone stay warm and safe.
When the power goes out, we know folks turn to alternative heat sources like fireplaces, wood stoves, heaters, lamps, and generators. Please use extra caution!!
🔥 If you’re using a wood-burning stove, propane, or kerosene heater, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use them inky as intended. Keep them at least 3 feet away from anything that can catch fire and never ever leave them unattended.
🚫 Please don’t use grills, camp stoves, or open flames indoors — even in garages or porches. The risk of fire and co2 exposure is extremely high! We see too many very dangerous situations during storms, and we want everyone to stay safe!
🧣 It’s also a good idea to have some emergency supplies on hand, like blankets, flashlights, batteries, food, and water — especially if the power stays out longer than expected.
⚠️ A few quick reminders:
• Generators should always be used outside, away from doors and windows.
• Use flashlights instead of candles if possible.
• Make sure smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are in good working order.
We’re proud to serve this community and want everyone to come through the storm safe and sound. Please check on neighbors who may need help, and don’t hesitate to call if something doesn’t feel right.
🚒 If you have an emergency, call 911. Stay safe out there!!
