Last week, Grissom hosted Steve Justus and Shawn Gardner, both Regional Directors for Senator Jim Banks.

During their visit they received a mission brief led by Col. Jon Bergman, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander, and a tour of one of our KC-135R Stratotankers, showcasing the aircraft and air refueling capabilities that keep the mission moving worldwide.

After more than 30 years of dedicated service across Active Duty, the Air National Guard, and the Air Force Reserve, Col. William "Doc" Bray has officially retired as the 434th Aeromedical Squadron Chief of Aerospace Medicine.

It's Fire Prevention Week here at Grissom!🔥🚒

The Grissom Fire Department will be outside the dining facility from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. today! Come out and meet the team, explore the fire engine, and participate in fire extinguisher training.

Dedicated to raising awareness about fire safety, this year's theme focused on safely charging lithium-ion batteries, which are in devices we use everyday.

Of course, fire safety is an important tool to be practiced year-round. Stay safe, y'all!

Our Airmen got a warm visit from Dax during the UTA!

This puppy is a licensed therapy dog and came to spread some smiles during Su***de Prevention and Awareness Month.

As Dax reminds us, life can be 'ruff.' Checking in with those around us could be just what they need to brighten their day. 🐶

Lt. Col. Bryce Turner, Thunderbird 6/Opposing Solo Pilot to the U.S. Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds," and his maintainers recently visited Notre Dame Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadets and midshipmen at Grissom ARB to share how unwavering teamwork and intense training keep them safe when flying mere inches apart.

Despite gearing up for the Grissom Air and Space Expo, the Thunderbirds team prioritized mentoring these future leaders, proving that mission success always starts with trust.

The United States Air Force asked for our favorite aircraft and the obvious choice is the KC-135R Stratotanker. Though, we may be slightly biased here at the Hoosier Wing.

Our Port Dawgs kept busy during their annual tour last month.

49th Aerial Port Squadron Airmen volunteered at the Grissom Air Museum, cleaning up their historic B-58 Hustler, a Cold War era supersonic bomber. ✈️

Junior Airmen also completed 21 training tasks, including forklift operation and pallet-loading. This on-the-job training allows APS Airmen to build proficiency in their field.
