🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY 🚧

The Bunkie Police Department would like to notify the public that road construction is currently underway on Main Street. Motorists should expect temporary road closures, lane restrictions, and traffic delays while crews complete the work.

Please plan ahead by using alternate routes whenever possible and allow additional travel time to reach your destination.

We ask all drivers to slow down, obey posted traffic signs, and use caution when traveling through construction zones to ensure the safety of workers and fellow motorists.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as these improvements are being made to our community.

🚔 NO INSURANCE? THAT TOW TRUCK ISN’T JUST DECORATIONS. 🚔

Think of liability insurance like deodorant you might not notice it when everything is going fine, but everyone notices when it’s missing.

If you’re stopped for a traffic violation or we’re investigating a crash and we can’t verify valid insurance on your vehicle, don’t be surprised when your car gets an all expenses paid trip … to the tow yard.

The tow is free. Getting it back? That’s a different conversation.

We understand times can be tough, but driving without insurance doesn’t make the risk disappear it just transfers the cost to someone else when a crash happens.

Just know that if your uninsured vehicle gets towed, your next mode of transportation may be the express route powered by your own two feet. 👟

Louisiana law requires every motor vehicle operated on public roads to have valid liability insurance. Before you head out, make sure your policy is active.

A monthly insurance payment is a lot easier to explain than a towing bill, storage fees, and trying to figure out how you’re getting home.

đźš“ Drive legal. Stay insured. Save yourself the headache.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from the Bunkie Police Department! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely. Please don’t drink and drive, always wear your seatbelt, obey traffic laws, and never fire guns into the air. Celebratory gunfire is dangerous and puts innocent lives at risk. Practice safe fi***rm handling, use fireworks responsibly, and look out for one another.

Have a safe, fun, and blessed Independence Day!

Respectfully,
Byron Juneau
