Grand Friends Day!📚

Grand Friends Day celebrates the special connections that span generations. Invite a grandparent, family friend, neighbor, mentor, or another important adult to join you for stories, crafts, and quality time at the library. Everyone is welcome as we celebrate community, kindness, and the joy of reading. We'll also enjoy a light snack while making memories together!

All Harnett County Public Libraries will be closed on Saturday, September 5 and Monday, September 7 for the holiday. We’ll resume regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

This closure includes the Main Library in Lillington and branches in Angier, Benhaven, Coats, Dunn, Erwin, Anderson Creek, and Boone Trail.

All Harnett County Public Libraries will be closed on Thursday, September 17 for staff training. We’ll resume regular hours on Friday, September 18.

This closure includes the Main Library in Lillington and branches in Angier, Benhaven, Coats, Dunn, Erwin, and Anderson Creek. Please note, the Boone Trail Community Center and Library will remain open with normal operating hours.

Need a computer for work, school, job searching, or everyday tasks? We've upgraded our Chromebook kits to make it even easier to stay connected!

Each kit includes:
✔️ Lenovo Chromebook with touchscreen
✔️ Built-in we**am
✔️ Wireless mouse
✔️ Charging cable and carrying case

Chromebook kits are available for adult library card holders and check out for 2 weeks, with 1 renewal if no one is waiting.

Anderson Creek Public Library will be closed from August 3–12 to prepare for the school year. We'll reopen on Thursday, August 13 with our regular hours:

Tuesday: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Please note, we will continue to regularly check the Anderson Creek book drop, but it might take a few days for books to be checked in. If you have any questions, please contact the Main Library at (910) 893-3446.

🌧️📚 Rainy days are made for storytime!

The rain may have kept us indoors, but it didn't stop the fun! We welcomed 40 participants for a morning filled with stories, songs, movement, and lots of smiles. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make storytime such a wonderful success.

We love creating opportunities for children to learn, laugh, and grow through books. We can't wait to see you at our next library adventure! 💙
