Political slogans are easy. Promises are easy. But what do the organizations behind the candidates actually stand for?

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have published positions on housing, policing, public ownership, and the role of government that deserve public scrutiny and an honest conversation.

Don't rely on campaign slogans, social media sound bites, or someone else's interpretation. Read their own words. Look at their policy goals. Ask questions.

Know what you're supporting before you support it.

Because when it comes to the future of our city, the details matter.

BURBANK, THIS ELECTION MATTERS.

This November, voters aren’t just choosing who will sit on Burbank’s City Council. We’re choosing what direction our city takes for years to come.

And there’s a question every voter deserves to ask:

Who is really behind the candidates asking for your vote?

The Democratic Socialists of America–Los Angeles has officially endorsed candidates for Burbank City Council and DSA-LA makes no secret that its endorsements come with organized resources, time, volunteers, and a broader political agenda.

That deserves scrutiny.

What policies are these candidates willing to support?
How much influence will outside organizations have over City Hall?
Will decisions be made by Burbank residents or by political organizations with agendas that extend far beyond our city?

This isn’t about labels. It’s about transparency, accountability, and local control.

Burbank has its own challenges. We should be electing leaders who answer to Burbank voters first.

Before you cast your ballot, look beyond the campaign slogans and endorsements.

Know who is supporting the candidates. Know what they stand for. And know who may be influencing the policies they bring to City Hall.

This election is too important to leave those questions unanswered.
