4-H Volunteers and all interested in becoming a 4-H volunteer are invited to stay overnight at the beach!! Spaces are very limited so don't delay!! If you can't stay the night, you can sign up for the day event on Nov. 7th.

Southeast District 4-H Volunteer Leader's Association Fall Retreat will be November 7-8, held in North Topsail Beach. This is a great time for volunteers from across the southeast district to come together for networking, electing new officers for the upcoming year, and create your own beachy seashell craft. Dinner will be at Daddy Mac's Beach Grill(at participant's expense).

Pender County 4-H Summer Fun Days was full of amazing, fun programs! Cooking Around the World was one of those programs. Pender County 4-H partnered with EFNEP to teach youth all about Switzerland and Jamaica. They learned about their cultures, played games that the children play from those countries, did crafts celebrating their cultures and best of all, got to cook and eat dishes from Switzerland and Jamaica!

Pender County 4-H youth enjoyed a day at the Ecological Marine Education Center in Surf City where they learned all about local marine life, seined for critters in the surf, got to see a large bull shark from the pier and ate lunch together in the park.

The Pender County 4-H Cyber Cyclones are practicing hard for the upcoming FIRST Robotics Lego competition coming up this fall. They are building biodiversity systems with Legos and will take their skills to compete with teams across the state. Today, they had special guests from the Wilmington Wired Wizards Club Greg Davis and Beth Davis, Team Coach of the Lego League come out and assist the Cyber Cyclones with their project. They gifted our club with a Spiked Expansion Set for much needed supplies. Thank you Greg and Beth for your generosity!

As North Carolina 4-H introduces the new online project record option through Kaleidoscope, we’re offering two sessions via Zoom to help 4-H members and the adults who support them get started.

💻 Adult Help Session | September 21, 7-8 p.m.
4-H staff, volunteers, parents and others are invited to bring their questions and learn more about supporting 4-H’ers with their online project records.

🍀 Youth Help Session | September 22, 7-8 p.m.
4-H’ers are invited to bring their questions and get help as they work on their online project records. All youth must be accompanied by an adult.

The Pender County 4-H Holly Shelter Shooting Sports Club and Shooting Stars Club competed last weekend in the 4-H Regional Shooting Sports tournament. This 4-H tournament encompassed over 800 entries, 19 divisions and 30 counties.
