Hotter'N Hell Hundred Traffic Information for Burkburnett Residents

As thousands of cyclists pass through our area during the Hotter'N Hell Hundred this Saturday, the Burkburnett Police Department wants to help residents plan ahead and travel safely.

To maintain access into and out of the city while protecting participants along the race route, designated ingress and egress routes have been established for vehicle traffic. Please review the attached maps for visual guidance.

Primary traffic routes include:
• Glendale Road
• Daniels Road
• South FM 369
• Dana Drive

These routes have been identified to allow residents to enter and leave Burkburnett while minimizing conflicts with cyclists participating in the event.

Please expect delays, increased traffic, and temporary traffic control measures throughout the morning hours. Officers, traffic control personnel, and volunteers will be stationed throughout the city to assist motorists and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

We encourage residents to:
• Allow extra travel time
• Follow all traffic control devices and officer directions
• Use caution when approaching cyclists
• Review the attached maps before traveling

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we welcome participants from across the region to this long-standing community event.

Stay safe and enjoy the weekend!

The Hotter’ N Hell Hundred is taking place Saturday, August 29th, 2026. Cyclists are expected to be in our area around 7:30/8:00 am, though some may arrive earlier depending on their pace and competitiveness.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we highly recommend staying off the roads during this time unless absolutely necessary. Cyclists will be given priority, as indicated by orange cones and barriers set up along the routes to prevent vehicle interference. For those who are new to the area, please be advised that traffic during the event can be significant, and it’s best not to venture out unless essential. For long-time residents, you’re likely familiar with the event’s impact, and we appreciate your cooperation.

If you do need to travel, please note that the only access points into the city will be via Glendale Road, Daniels Road and 369, however they will all have significant bicycle traffic.

To all our participants, volunteers, and visitors: stay safe, stay hydrated. Please see the included 100 mile and 100 km route maps that run through Burkburnett City limits.
