Another great opportunity to partner with our local organizations! On January 19th, Northline Utilities LLC, in partnership with the Burke, NY Fire Department, hosted an Electrical Hazard Awareness Training for local fire departments and emergency responders.

The course was attended by over 40 participants from Burke, Chateaugay, Malone Call Fireman, and Dannemora Fire Departments of Franklin and Clinton County. The training focused on improving responder safety and decision-making during incidents involving energized electrical systems.

Key training areas included:
- Electrical hazard recognition (high & low voltage)
- Fire department roles, responsibilities, and initial actions
- Scene safety, exclusion zones, and size-up
- Electrical system components from transmission to residential
- Storm response and utility restoration priorities
- PPE limitations and precautions
- Common emergency scenarios involving electrical infrastructure
- Su***de Prevention Awareness
