Uttarakhand is a northern state of India nested in foothills of the Himalayas.

From time to time, the Uttarakhand Foundation will do business as the Uttaranchal Association of North America (“UANA”). Uttarakhand Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed by Indian diaspora in North America with roots in Uttarakhand, that operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the Section 50l(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation’s social wing UANA

-UF organizes events and activities to celebrate the culture and heritage of Uttarakhand. The name of this corporation is the Uttarakhand Foundation (“UF”). From time to
time, the Uttarakhand Foundation will do business as the Uttaranchal Association of North
America (“UANA”). Our Purpose:
The primary purpose of Uttarakhand Foundation is to organize charitable and educational activities promoting the concerns and well-being of the Uttarakhand region, as well as Uttarakhandi communities in North America. The Foundation seeks to promote self-development in communities in Uttarakhand, India through improvement in functional literacy, development education, empowerment education and health care education. From time to time, the Foundation partners with other non-profit organizations with similar goals. UANA-UF Current ExCom and Board of Directors are as follows:

*Almora* UANA(UF)-KITAAB Camp DAY-3

61 students from class VI-XII attended.
The session started with a prayer, followed by Zumba. Reading sessions were held along with games, interactive activities, picture presentation and critical thinking sessions. Subject specific sessions followed focusing on maths and science.

Doctors from "Swami Vivekanand Health Mission Society" visited the camp for dental examination and shared relevant treatment and care options with the campers. For Girls, menstruation awareness session was conducted by a nurse and Kitaab Interns to help girls understand the process in a better manner.

The day concluded with a movie screening followed by critical analysis and discussion of the film

2024 UANA(UF)-Kitaab Summer Camp Day-2:

The session started with a prayer. Groups of students were formed based on reading assessment conducted on first day. This was followed by a one to one story reading and writing session with each student using activity based teaching methods.
Some outdoor activities were included so the campers would stay engaged. Children felt rejuvenated after exercise and started the second session which was more subject specific. Children also enthusiastically participated in a quiz session on India. Camp Day-2 concluded with a short storytelling session.

Tristate Uttaranchal Community invites you with family & friends to a day of fun filled desi-style Cricket!

The Event:
Welcome to the 16th edition of the Tristate Uttaranchal Community Cricket Tournament! This will involve overarm cricket played with heavy tennis balls. Kids, spouses and elders are welcome! Kid's cricket set will be available for kids to try out the game. Families are welcome to bring other sports gear to play at the ground.

When: October 1st, Saturday 9:00 am

Tournament Format :
The men’s tournament will have two groups (Group A and Group B). Each group will consist of two teams. Teams will play round-robin within the group. Top 2 teams from each group will reach the semi-final. The winners of the semi-final will play the finals.

we hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. It is the season of FESTIVALS and DIWALI is around the corner. Therefore, to celebrate the spirit of festivity and continue our tradition, Tristate UANA cultural committee is excited to invite you all for the 2023 Diwali party on Nov 18th Saturday at Royal Albert Palace, Edison NJ, 5pm to 10pm. Please save the date and let's spread joy, love and light through this and make this a successful event.

To make this event more fun for all the generations, we are inviting the ideas and entrees for the cultural events. If anyone would like to volunteer or can help in anyways, please reach out to us. No event can be made successful without active participation of the community members. So please come forward.

Also we will have exciting games and fun activities for kids this Diwali party. If anyone (adults or kids) would like to participate in cultural activities and need help for preparation we can help them to prepare for participation, also can have virtual practice sessions, please see below contact person details.
