UANA - Uttaranchal (Uttarakhand) Association of North America (Est. 1998) The name of this organization is the 'Uttarakhand Foundation' (“UF”). Who Are We:
Uttarakhand is a northern state of India nested in foothills of the Himalayas.

From time to time, the Uttarakhand Foundation will do business as the Uttaranchal Association of North America (“UANA”). Uttarakhand Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed by Indian diaspora in North America with roots in Uttarakhand, that operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the Section 50l(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation’s social wing UANA

-UF organizes events and activities to celebrate the culture and heritage of Uttarakhand. The name of this corporation is the Uttarakhand Foundation (“UF”). From time to
time, the Uttarakhand Foundation will do business as the Uttaranchal Association of North
America (“UANA”). Our Purpose:
The primary purpose of Uttarakhand Foundation is to organize charitable and educational activities promoting the concerns and well-being of the Uttarakhand region, as well as Uttarakhandi communities in North America. The Foundation seeks to promote self-development in communities in Uttarakhand, India through improvement in functional literacy, development education, empowerment education and health care education. From time to time, the Foundation partners with other non-profit organizations with similar goals. UANA-UF Current ExCom and Board of Directors are as follows:

The time has come to gather under the open sky for our Pahadi Picnic 2026, on May 31st.
Thanks to the incredible spirit of community participation and the success of last year`s picnic, we have some fantastic news for this year.

What’s New This Year?

We want to see everyone there! To help make that happen, we’ve reduced the entry charge by 50% this year.

Adults (18 years and older): Only $10
Kids (Under 18): FREE

What’s Included?

Your registration fee covers the essentials to keep the day running smoothly:

✅ Park Permits & Venue

✅ All Picnic Supplies (Plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.)

✅ The Barbecue: We will be grilling both Veg and Chicken options for everyone!

The Community Potluck

The heart of our picnic is the food we share. While the BBQ and permits are covered by the entry fee, the rest of the feast is a true community contribution.

Health camp was organized on May 11th in Gwalakot Almora by Uttarakhand Foundation-UANA in collaboration with Swastha Himalaya Abhiyan, led by Dr. Ashu Awasthi. Here are few glimpses of the Shivir. We sincerely thank our generous supporters for making such programs possible. This school location will also be the venue of upcoming UF-Kitaab summer camp next month.

बल्ली क्षेत्र (दुगड्डा) की संभ्रांत जनता के लिए उत्तरांचल एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ नार्थ अमेरिका (UANA) / उत्तराखंड फाउंडेशन (UF) के तत्वाधान में स्वस्थ हिमालय अभियान द्वारा निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन किया जा रहा है ।
