Friends of Pohick Regional Library Friends of Pohick Regional Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting, improving and promoting the Pohick Regional Library.

The charter meeting of the Friends of the Pohick Regional Library was held in March 1988. The organization was granted 501(C)(3) status in 1998. The current officers view the book sales not only as a way to provide revenue for the Library, but as a service that is truly appreciated by the community. They see their role as a partnership with the staff of the Pohick Regional Library, Library Adminis

tration and the community. The purpose of the organization is to maintain an association of persons and organizations interested in libraries and to cooperate with the Fairfax County Public Library in developing public library services and facilities for the Pohick region.
