Cumberland County Health Coalition A group of community-based organizations working together to ensure that residents of Cumberland County have access to health information and services.

The Cumberland County Health Coalition was organized as a result of a grant that was awarded by the Appalachian Diabetes Translation and Control Project through Marshall University. We are group of local businesses and individuals working to improve the health of Cumberland County.

📱➡️👟 **September Healthy Hometown Challenge: Screen-Free Movement!**

This month, replace just **10 minutes of screen time with movement at least three days each week**. Take a walk, stretch, dance, play outside, work in the garden, or choose another activity you enjoy!

You don’t need a full workout—just put down the screen and get moving for 10 minutes. Small steps really can make a big change!

🏆 Congratulations to Cumberland County Hospital, our July Healthy Hometown Challenge Creative Winner!

The winner was selected by the members present at this month’s Cumberland County Health Coalition meeting.

During the Hydration Challenge, the hospital made drinking more water easier and more enjoyable by offering fruit-infused water to employees. Staff shared that they felt less tired when choosing water instead of sugary drinks, and several even purchased new water bottles to continue the healthy habit!

Thank you, Cumberland County Hospital, for finding a creative way to encourage healthier choices in the workplace. 💧🍋

Congratulations to Kentucky Farm Bureau, our Small Business Champion, and Lifeline Homehealth, our Large Business Champion! Several businesses achieved 100% participation, with bonus creative submissions used as the tie-breaker for the final standings.
