We provide Fire, Advanced Life Support EMS, Specialized Rescue, and Hazmat response. 🌞💧 Texas Heat Is No Joke! 💧🌞

Today’s forecasted temperature: 102-106🌡️🥵

With these scorching Texas temperatures, staying hydrated isn’t just important, it’s essential. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, take frequent breaks if you’re working outdoors, and try to avoid prolonged exposure during the hottest part of the day.

Don’t forget about your four-legged family members, too! 🐾 Make sure pets and outdoor animals have constant access to fresh, cool water and plenty of shade. Never leave pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Let’s all do our part to stay safe this summer. Stay hydrated, check on your family, friends, neighbors, pets, and look after one another.

Johnson County is currently under an outdoor burn ban to help protect lives, property, and our first responders.

📅 Effective: July 29th, 2026
📅 Through: October 27th, 2026 (or until rescinded)

🚫 No outdoor burning allowed, including but not limited to:
• Trash
• Brush
• Leaves
• Any other combustible materials

This order is in place due to increased fire danger and public safety concerns. Violations may result in enforcement action as allowed by law.

Tonight, the firefighters of Briaroaks Fire Department took to the parking lot for a hands-on training session focused on advancing handlines while flowing water. With several new members joining our department, we believe there’s no substitute for getting out and putting skills into practice.

With the Texas heat in full force, no one seemed to mind when the water streams found their way back onto the crew! It made for a great way to cool off while building confidence, teamwork, and the skills that matter when the real call comes.

Every training opportunity makes us stronger and better prepared to serve our community.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Independence Day from Briaroaks Fire Department! 🇺🇸

Today, we proudly celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence. It’s a day to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices made by those who fought to secure and protect them.

At Briaroaks Fire Department, we are honored to serve this community and proud to do our part to keep our neighbors safe. As you celebrate with family and friends, please enjoy the holiday responsibly and keep fire safety in mind.

Some calls stay with you forever. ❤️🚒

On the evening of June 21, the Cray family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Little Liam made his way outside and into the family pool, where he was fighting for his life.

His 7-year-old brother, Patrick, acted without hesitation. He pulled Liam from the water and immediately began CPR, the best he knew, until his mom took over while Patrick ran for help and 911 was called.

Within minutes, Briaroaks Fire Department Squad 273 arrived on scene. Working alongside the outstanding CareFlite ambulance crew, Liam was resuscitated, transported to Children’s Medical Center, and has since made a full recovery.

Today, members of the Briaroaks Fire Department had the privilege of reuniting with the Cray family to celebrate that incredible outcome.

Patrick’s bravery and quick actions played a vital role in saving his little brother’s life. In recognition of his courage, he was named an Honorary Junior Firefighter and was presented with an official Briaroaks Fire Department T-shirt, a firefighter helmet with his own custom shield, and challenge coins were presented to Mom and Dad as a symbol of the bond their family now shares with ours.

To the Cray family, thank you for allowing us to celebrate this special day with you. You will always be a part of the Briaroaks Fire Department family, and our doors are always open.

These reunions are the moments that remind us why we serve. Seeing Liam healthy, smiling, and surrounded by his family is the greatest reward we could ever ask for.

🚒 Eventful week at Briaroaks Fire Department 🚒

Over the past week, Briaroaks Fire Department has responded to two structure fires within our fire district.

The first incident occurred in District 1, where crews were dispatched to a reported fire underneath a structure. Upon arrival there was active fire underneath the residence. We were assisted by our automatic aid partners from Alvarado Fire Department and Johnson County ESD #1 Station 77. Their quick response and teamwork were greatly appreciated.

Just one day later, crews responded to a second structure fire in District 2. Upon arrival, Briaroaks units encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence, with the fire extending into the attic space. Firefighters worked aggressively to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage. We would like to thank Alvarado Fire Department, Burleson Fire Department, Johnson County ESD #1 Station 82, Tarrant County ESD #1 Station 770, and CareFlite Ground for their assistance and support on this incident.

We are grateful for the strong partnerships we share with our neighboring agencies. Working together allows us to provide the highest level of service to our communities when emergencies occur.

🚤 Big News for Briaroaks Fire Department! 🚨

Briaroaks Fire Department is excited to share some great news with our community! Through our partnership with Johnson County Emergency Services District No. 1, we were able to replace our older rescue boat with a brand-new water rescue boat to better serve our district and strengthen our emergency response capabilities on the water.

This new asset enhances our ability to respond quickly and effectively when water emergencies arise, helping us better protect the citizens we proudly serve.

A huge thank you to the taxpayers for your continued support and to Johnson County Emergency Services District No. 1 for this valuable partnership and commitment to public safety.

We’re proud to add this resource to our fleet and stand ready when the call comes.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today is more than a long weekend, cookouts, or time spent with family and friends.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country.. the heroes who left home wearing the uniform of our nation and never made it back.

Memorial Day is about sacrifice. It’s about honoring those who gave their tomorrow so we could have today. It’s about remembering the empty seats at family tables, the folded flags, the Gold Star families, and the weight of freedom that was paid for by someone else’s ultimate sacrifice.

As we enjoy this weekend, let us never forget why we have the freedom to do so.

And while we honor our fallen heroes, let’s also honor life by protecting it. If you’re traveling or celebrating this weekend, please make smart choices. Drive safe. Drive sober. Wear your seatbelt. Put the phone down. Get home safely.

The greatest way to honor sacrifice is to value the life and freedom we’ve been given.

Our annual Briaroaks Fire Department Awards Banquet this past Saturday was a great evening filled with good food, great conversations, and recognizing the incredible people who help make this department what it is. A huge thank you to Billy’s Two Gun BBQ for keeping everyone well fed… because let’s be honest, firefighters will absolutely judge an event by the food. 🚒🍖😂

Several well-deserved awards were handed out to some outstanding members of the department. We thought about listing every recipient…but Facebook has a character limit, and we didn’t want anyone spraining a thumb from scrolling through a post a mile long. 😆 Just know we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and thankful for the dedication, hard work, and service you give to this community.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who came out to make it a great night!
