The Briaroaks Volunteer Fire Department has served the citizens of Briaroaks and Johnson County since 1971.

We provide Fire, Advanced Life Support EMS, Specialized Rescue, and Hazmat response. We are a full service fire department providing fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, technical rescue services, and other types of calls. 🚒 Eventful week at Briaroaks Fire Department 🚒

Over the past week, Briaroaks Fire Department has responded to two structure fires within our fire district.

The first incident occurred in District 1, where crews were dispatched to a reported fire underneath a structure. Upon arrival there was active fire underneath the residence. We were assisted by our automatic aid partners from Alvarado Fire Department and Johnson County ESD #1 Station 77. Their quick response and teamwork were greatly appreciated.

Just one day later, crews responded to a second structure fire in District 2. Upon arrival, Briaroaks units encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence, with the fire extending into the attic space. Firefighters worked aggressively to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage. We would like to thank Alvarado Fire Department, Burleson Fire Department, Johnson County ESD #1 Station 82, Tarrant County ESD #1 Station 770, and CareFlite Ground for their assistance and support on this incident.

We are grateful for the strong partnerships we share with our neighboring agencies. Working together allows us to provide the highest level of service to our communities when emergencies occur.

🚤 Big News for Briaroaks Fire Department! 🚨

Briaroaks Fire Department is excited to share some great news with our community! Through our partnership with Johnson County Emergency Services District No. 1, we were able to replace our older rescue boat with a brand-new water rescue boat to better serve our district and strengthen our emergency response capabilities on the water.

This new asset enhances our ability to respond quickly and effectively when water emergencies arise, helping us better protect the citizens we proudly serve.

A huge thank you to the taxpayers for your continued support and to Johnson County Emergency Services District No. 1 for this valuable partnership and commitment to public safety.

We’re proud to add this resource to our fleet and stand ready when the call comes.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today is more than a long weekend, cookouts, or time spent with family and friends.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country.. the heroes who left home wearing the uniform of our nation and never made it back.

Memorial Day is about sacrifice. It’s about honoring those who gave their tomorrow so we could have today. It’s about remembering the empty seats at family tables, the folded flags, the Gold Star families, and the weight of freedom that was paid for by someone else’s ultimate sacrifice.

As we enjoy this weekend, let us never forget why we have the freedom to do so.

And while we honor our fallen heroes, let’s also honor life by protecting it. If you’re traveling or celebrating this weekend, please make smart choices. Drive safe. Drive sober. Wear your seatbelt. Put the phone down. Get home safely.

The greatest way to honor sacrifice is to value the life and freedom we’ve been given.

Our annual Briaroaks Fire Department Awards Banquet this past Saturday was a great evening filled with good food, great conversations, and recognizing the incredible people who help make this department what it is. A huge thank you to Billy’s Two Gun BBQ for keeping everyone well fed… because let’s be honest, firefighters will absolutely judge an event by the food. 🚒🍖😂

Several well-deserved awards were handed out to some outstanding members of the department. We thought about listing every recipient…but Facebook has a character limit, and we didn’t want anyone spraining a thumb from scrolling through a post a mile long. 😆 Just know we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and thankful for the dedication, hard work, and service you give to this community.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who came out to make it a great night!

📞 Telecommunications Week 2026 📞

This week, we proudly recognize and celebrate the incredible 911 dispatchers who play such a vital role in our mission here at the Briaroaks Fire Department.

Our 911 dispatchers are the true backbone of emergency response. The calm, steady voices on the other end of the line when seconds matter most. They are the first of the first responders, gathering critical information, providing lifesaving instructions, and ensuring our crews are prepared before we even arrive on scene.

They are always heard, yet rarely seen, working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our community safe.

Fun fact: Briaroaks Fire Department is proud to have five dedicated 911 dispatchers who also serve in various roles within our department, going above and beyond every single day.

From all of us at Briaroaks Fire Department, thank you for the job continuously well done. Your professionalism, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

The Briaroaks Fire Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who came out to support our Annual Fish 🎣Fry Fundraiser this year. Your continued support plays a vital role in helping us serve and protect our community.

This year’s event was a tremendous success, filled with delicious food, great fellowship, and strong community spirit. It is always a pleasure to see familiar faces return year after year, and even more special to welcome new supporters who joined us for the first time.

We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and generous community standing behind us. Thank you for making this event such a success.

🎉🐟 Come one, come all!! Today is the day, it’s time for a Fish Fry! 🐟🎉

The parking lot is set, the kitchen and cook shack are fired up, and we’re ready to serve up some delicious food and good times!

As always, this fundraiser is fully run by our amazing volunteers, and both districts remain fully covered for any emergencies that may arise.

We can’t wait to see everyone from 3:00–7:30 PM. Bring your friends, your family, and your appetite!
