BPD headed out

All right y'all! Who is all headed out tonight?? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️Cool, cool, cool, us too!
We want to go home tonight and we want you and everyone else on the road to go home too. Let's be responsible tonight, like the kind of responsible when your mom handed you a full cup of juice and told you to hold it with both hands responsible. Designate a sober driver or plan on another form of transportation.

Trust us, you are going to wish you paid that peak time price if we end up taking you home. #DriveSoberOrGetPulledOver #...

CBS DFW

Thank you CBS DFW , Caroline Vandergriff and Jay Johnson for covering this important initiative. Protecting children from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) is all of our responsibility. Research tells us that the trauma caused by a child witnessing violence has long-term detrimental consequences and law enforcement is in a position to provide comfort to a child by interacting with them on the scene. Burleson PD is training our officers and staff how to engage the child based on that research. Our goal is helping children, raising awareness and encouraging other departments to adopt this initiative.

The Burleson, Texas Police Department is training officers on how to better interact with children who’ve seen or heard violent acts.

Update: At this time, it appears all crossing gates are back operational except for the one at the Elders crossing.

The railroad lights are flashing and the crossing arms are down at the railroad crossings on Renfro Street and at the other crossings in Old Town of Burleson. Union Pacific has been notified and they are responding but we do not have an ETA as to when this will be fixed. Please be aware that driving across these crossings, even though there is no train visible, is not legal! Drivers needs to find an alternative route until this problem is fixed.

We are saddened to hear about the murder of Nassau Bay Police Sergeant Kaila Sullivan last night while she was on a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle ran over her to avoid an arrest for a domestic violence warrant. That makes the second Texas sergeant killed this week while investigating suspects involved in domestic violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sergeant Sullivan’s family, as well as her Blue Family at Nassau Bay PD.

UPDATE: 12/6/19
All suspects are in custody. A huge thank you to everyone who shared this post, we could not have identified them without this community effort.

Please help us identify these persons of interest. We would like to speak to these individuals in regards to the robbery of a 71-year-old female at Ross on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The suspects utilized a taser on the victim to steal her purse.

The Burleson Police Department obtained information that the 71 year old victim’s credit cards were used shortly after the robbery at two different retail shops in Arlington and Mansfield. Upon review of the surveillance footage at these locations, detectives were able to get the following images of the suspects. Based on the facts of this case, Detectives have reason to believe a third party was in the vehicle at the time of the robbery. The three subjects photographed below all exited the vehicle and entered the businesses together prior to the victim’s credit cards being used. The vehicle utilized during the commission of the robbery is a Dodge Journey.

If you have information related to the suspects or this incident, we ask that you contact the Burleson Police Department Detective Ron Martin at 817-426-9392 or [email protected]

If you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers at 800-794-8477 or 817-469-8477
