American Medical Response - San Mateo County Proudly serving San Mateo County, CA for more than 30 years. We respond to over 70,000 9-1-1 requests for service annually.

AMR is the exclusive provider of 9-1-1 Emergency Advanced Life Support ambulance services for San Mateo County, CA. Working in conjunction with our Fire and Law partners, our over 250 Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Administrative/Operations Support staff are dedicated to improving the health, safety, and well-being of all residents and visitors of San Mateo County. We are delighted to share that our own Paramedic Clinical Field Specialist, Evan, was a recipient for the 2025 EMS Cross last night at the annual EMSA Award Ceremony in St Helena.

The EMS Cross is awarded to a uniformed EMS Professional whose actions and achievements consistently exemplify the highest level of excellence in EMS over an extended duration. This prestigious honor recognizes sustained dedication, skill and professionalism.

As we close out Women's History Month, we'd like to take a moment to recognize the 54 women who help make AMR San Mateo strong. These women give the best of themselves to serve this community 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Whether in the field caring for patients, in the office supporting the staff, or in deployment ensuring crews have the supplies and equipment they need, these women continue to prove that EMS is no longer a male-dominated industry.
