Asian Americans for Political Advancement

Asian Americans for Political Advancement Chinese own and run supermarkets and shopping malls are everywhere. All these success of Chinese wouldn't make the racial discrimination disappear.

AAPA is an non partisan California based political action committee(PAC) and Lobbying Coalition formed to create a political voice for Asian Americans regarding political issues and candidates. In recent years, the achievements and contributions of Chinese in the United States are impressive .Whether in school, work performance, business and scientific research, Chinese can be outstanding in every

area. However, other people may flex muscles when they do feel the pressure of competition in the business. The booming business among Chinese will inevitably touch on the interests of others, as all Chinese residential and commercial real estate business entirely by the Chinese, all foods from import to wholesale, then retail are
all handled by Chinese. They often yelled "go home" whenever they have different views with the Chinese. Although many Chinese Americans have been elected to legislators, but often due to the re-election considerations, the party machine, or pressure of powerful interest groups, they do not represent the interests of the Chinese and the community. In election time, they ask all votes from Chinese community. Afterward, they turn to special interest groups for the money and sell Chinese. Despite more and more Chinese people began to care about politics and elections. We began to sponsor Chinese politics and campaign contributions, but individual contributions are basically no influence on the politicians, while in the Political Action Committee (PAC) is different. Because of the law, PAC can publicly support or oppose the proposed bill, the election of candidates or raise money. hire political consultant, and then lobby the House and Senate members. PAC as a permanent organization, is bound to become a considerable influence organization. In another word, if we do not have AAPA such a Political Action Committee, we will not be organized, strong and powerful to push bills or candidates for the best interest of
Chinese Americans. We will not be able to monitor whether our elected legislators have acted on behalf of us. On the other hand, we can neither prevent any harm to the Chinese bill pass, nor oversight and impeachment those incompetent legislators and government officials.
