• Jo Anna passed the Treatment “C” Test and currently is listed as the Chief Operator for Burlington Junction PWS MO1010117 per MODNR
• Jo Anna is set to take vacation September 8th-11th, 2026. City Hall will be closed on those dates, and Monday, September 7th, 2026, for observance of Labor Day.

Call to Order
The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlington Junction, Missouri, was called to order at 09:00 a.m. on July 24th, 2026, by Mayor Jim Johansen in the City Hall Council Chambers. The mayor welcomed all council members, city staff, and members of the public.
Roll Call
The following officials were present:
• Mayor Jim Johansen
• Council Member Kevin Conn
• Council Member Dennis Randall
• Council Member Brad Keever
• Council Member John Mires
A quorum was declared present.
Approval of Previous Minutes
The minutes of the previous City Council meeting held in June 2026 were presented for review.
Council Member Kevin made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion was seconded by Council Member Dennis and carried out by unanimous vote.
Finance Department Report
Council Member Dennis made a motion to approve the financial report as submitted. The motion was seconded by Council Member Kevin Conn and carried out by unanimous vote.
City Technician Report
None reported at this time
Old Business
None reported at this time
New Business
• The Board discussed proceeding forward with looking into street equipment and also possibly a newer truck for the city. Council member Dennis moved to proceed. The motion was seconded by Council Member Kevin and carried out by unanimous vote.
• The Board discussed the current FY 26-27 Budget. A motion was made by Kevin to accept the current submitted budget for FY 26-27. The motion was seconded by Council Member Dennis and carried out by unanimous vote.
• The Board discussed the hiring of Troy Hanes for street maintenance and repairs for a monthly salary of $1,800.00. A motion was made by Kevin to hire Troy. The motion was seconded by Council Member Brad and carried out by unanimous vote.
• The Board discussed the (2) sealed bids and accepted Hoyt Construction's bid for the amount of $20,800.00. A motion was made by Brad to hire Hoyt Construction. The motion was seconded by Council Member John and carried out by unanimous vote
Adjournment
There being no further business coming before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 A.M.
Council Member John made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Council Member Kevin and carried out by unanimous vote.
The next Public Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, at 9:00 am.
