Captain-Matt Finney The West Nodaway Fire Protection District is a Volunteer Fire Dept.

located in Northwest Missouri in Nodaway County. We have 20 members on the Dept. We have 2 Pumper Trucks, 3 Tanker Trucks, 3 Brush Trucks and Cascade Air Trailer. Nodaway County Ambulance has a Rescue Squad housed in our fire station with first responders that respond to calls. The department responds to various calls such as grass, field, and brush fires to structure and car fires/car wrecks.

Last night on the 14th we had our annual firefighter appreciation dinner. We want to thank Dads place for a wonderful meal and Hwy 136 roadhouse for a perfect place for us to have it. Also curtis Stroud for playing music for us. It was a great time with a great family. Two of our firefighters Lee Rohlmeier and Bobby Smith received their 40 years of service awards. Angie Lightner received her 12 years of service award.
