The Women’s Opportunity Center assists women who have lost financial support due to separation, divorce, death or disability of a spouse. The Women's Opportunity Center is committed to help women gain economic self-sufficiency through education, job readiness, networking, outreach, referrals and emotional support. The Center also promotes awareness of women's rights and issues through public advocacy.

Burlco Expungement Clinic & Resource Fair to be held 10/24

The fourth annual Burlington County Expungement Clinic will be held Thursday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at two locations: Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington City and the JFK Recreation Center in Willingboro Township. Free lunch will be provided.

Those who attend will be able to speak with an attorney to see whether certain non-violent convictions can be expunged, which means they will be erased from their criminal history.

This service is entirely free, and no appointment is needed. Last year, more than 300 people turned out to receive help.

Those who are planning to attend and speak with an attorney about a possible expungement should bring any information they have about the case they are hoping to address. However, if that information is not in your possession, it can be retrieved electronically at the clinic. The incident did not have to occur in Burlington County, but must have taken place in New Jersey.

Visit https://BurlcoExpungement.com for detailed information about who is eligible for expungement. Additional services that will be available include:

• Access to free addiction treatment
• Blood pressure checks
• Identification cards issued for government housing
• Housing assistance
• Job readiness services
• Re-entry services
• Services for families with youth in detention
• Voter registration services, and more.

The majority of the services will be offered at the JFK Center. Check the website for more information.

Tabernacle Baptist Church of Burlington NJ is located at 150 East 2nd Street in Burlington City, and the JFK Recreation Center is located 429 John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro. A special thank you is in order to Tabernacle Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Cory L. Jones, as well as the Willingboro Recreation & Parks Department for their support, assistance and willingness to host the events.

The Burlington County Expungement Clinic is organized and overseen by the Burlington County Bar Association, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, and the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender - Burlington County section.
