Barley is coming along in the valley! Our Maritime Climate helps it grow slower and plumper, which adds to an increased yield for our growers and customers. We're excited to see where it's at in a month during the Barley Bonanza.

We wanted to wish Bob Rock a happy retirement! Today was Bob’s last class at . Bob was instrumental in getting our facility set up and dialing in our malting process. As part of the teaching staff at Cardinal Brewing School next door, he also helped educate a lot of current brewers in the region.

This image is from a presentation from Bob and our Founder Wayne Carpenter at an early Cascadia Grains Conference, where they talked about the process from Barley Breeding through Beer Brewing, with Bob talking about our pilot brew system and creating recipes that highlight barley varietal differences. He certainly loved brewing with our malts!
