Feeding Champlain Valley is where it is today through the effort and dedication of our incredible volunteers who work diligently across Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and Addison Counties. Just within this month, volunteers have clocked over 663.5 hours across the various sites!

The work that our volunteers do is immensely important to the operations of getting food to people through food boxes, home deliveries, and ensuring each visit to one of our food sites helps provide essential items as part of their shopping experience. We want to thank the work that our volunteers do, we don't say it enough but, the time and dedication that they give us helps bring food security across Vermont!

We are currently looking to hire an Intake and Distribution Coordinator for Chittenden County. This role ensures that food gets where it’s needed most—coordinating distribution efforts and working closely with our Volunteer Coordinator and Food Shelf Supervisor to keep volunteer support strong. They also advocate for federal nutrition programs and help gather the information we rely on for planning and reporting.

Using Pantrysoft, they manage client intake, collect key demographic data, and generate reports on the households and individuals we serve. They also lead community surveys on housing, transportation, nutrition, and other anti-poverty issues, and they represent us at Food Security Network meetings and collaborations with hunger relief partners.

Burlington Subaru and Feeding Champlain Valley have had a long lasting partnership for the last 12 years where money from their annual 'Share the Love' event, where a purchase of a car helps

They capped off their 'Share the Love' event by delivering to various households grocery boxes that were ordered online through our online marketplace. Last week, they had packed boxes for clients with their specific items like canned goods, toiletry items, and other essential products. Clients can also order a number of bread options, frozen meats and fresh produce with each order. These boxes were delivered to their residence through the help of staff from Burlington Subaru!

We wanted to thank Burlington Subaru for their continued effort to help alleviate hunger in Vermont and their long lasting partnership with Feeding Champlain Valley.

Yesterday, Feeding Champlain Valley was at Burlington Subaru to conclude the annual 'Share the Love' event, where each new vehicle sale resulted in a donation towards food that helps feed our community members across Vermont.

This partnership is in its 11th year and to commemorate this connection, members from Subaru of New England and Burlington Subaru helped pack food boxes that will go out into the community to provide essential items and nutritious food that they ordered.

We wanted to thank Burlington Subaru and Subaru of New England for their continued support to help spread food access across Vermont and their donation of $48,603 from last years 'Share the Love' event.
