Burlington Police Department is hiring an Executive Manager!

The Executive Manager serves as a civilian member of the command staff for the Burlington Police Department, providing executive-level project management, strategic leadership, and fiscal oversight in direct support of the Chief of Police. This position leads the planning, coordination, and ex*****on of department-wide initiatives to advance organizational effectiveness, operational efficiency, and community service. The Executive Manager oversees budget development and financial management, manages departmental workflows, and supervises key administrative and financial staff. With comprehensive knowledge of departmental operations and the community, the Executive Manager supports informed decision-making, strategic goal attainment, and responsive policing aligned with the City’s public safety and quality-of-life priorities.

Union Affiliation: Non-Union
Pay Grade 22: $95,346.08 - $106,431.49 Annually
Remote Tier 2: Up to one (1) day remote/week

On October 2, 2026, a male Lab/Shepherd mix, white in color, was found at the intersection of Manhattan Drive and the belt-line walking around the intersection, Burlington. The dog was wearing a chain-style collar and had no tags and was not microchipped.

Burlington Police Department is hiring an Emergency Communications Specialist!

This position receives, records, and processes emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire and ambulance assistance, and dispatches units appropriately; responds to routine inquiries or referrals. Monitors radio traffic and operate computer systems required to complete the task; provides communications link between police/fire/ambulance response units and outside public service agencies. In addition this position acts as an internal routing unit, receiving calls from the public, other City departments, etc., and directs the call to the appropriate Police Department personnel.

Pay Grade 17: $33.79 - $37.68 Hourly
