Thursday July 30th and Friday July 31st the Landfill will be closing at Noon for Fair. The Seibert Transfer Site will be closed Thursday July 30th. We want to wish everyone a happy and successful Fair. Make sure you come enjoy the Fair, Rodeo & Carnival. If you would like to volunteer for the Carnival make sure you go to the County's website and sign up to run a ride.

The Landfill will be closed Friday and Saturday in observance of July 4th. Both Flagler and Seibert Transfer Sites will be closed on Saturday. We will reopen normal hours Monday July 6th. We want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe 4th of July.

Kit Carson County is hiring for a full time Landfill Employee. Job responsibilities include operating and maintain general maintenance of equipment, including but not limited to heavy machinery, customer service, and scale system operation.
Salary $15.85 - $21.63 per hour. Benefits include Health, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, and a 3% match for retirement. KCC requires passing a background check and drug/alcohol testing. Applications must be returned with a cover letter and resume. Applications may be printed online or picked up & returned to the Administration Office in the courthouse, 1650 Donelan St., Suite 101.
