• Use lights when riding at night or in low-light conditions
• Wear a helmet
• Follow traffic laws
• Lock your bike with a quality U-lock

Have questions about campus safety, registering your bike, or fingerprinting appointments?

Stop by the Campus Resource Fair tomorrow and meet Sergeant Nick Holden and Rachel Lacourciere from UVM Police Services. We'd love the opportunity to connect, share information about our services, and welcome students back to campus.

We will have our latest swag to share and will also be set up to help students navigate the fingerprinting appointment process, answer questions about requirements, and get signed up for an appointment if needed.

Public safety takes many forms. On August 21, UVM Police Services proudly welcomed Officer Kaylah Hildick-Smith as our department's newest police officer. During Friday's swearing-in, we also recognized two new members of our team: Carolynne Morris, Accreditation & Recruitment Specialist, and Krista Towne, Dispatcher.

From law enforcement and emergency communications to accreditation and recruitment, each plays an important role in serving the UVM community.

Please join us in welcoming Officer Kaylah Hildick-Smith, Carolynne Morris, and Krista Towne to UVM Police Services.

UVM Campus Move-In is upon us.

Please remember this means:
There Will Be Traffic!

First-year and transfer student move-in is Wednesday, August 26th & Thursday, August 27th – so expect lots of traffic and exercise patience on these upcoming days!

If you work on campus or in the surrounding Burlington/South Burlington area, we recommend avoiding I-89 (especially the area of exit 14) and Williston Road. If it’s unavoidable remember to leave plenty of time to make it to your destination on time.

UVM Police can help with VIN Verification Forms!

What's a VIN Verification?
It's a form required by the DMV to verify your vehicle's identity - especially if it is from out of state or has never been registered in Vermont.

Who Can Sign It?
UVM Police Officers are authorized to complete VIN verifications at our campus department.

Where To Go:
Stop by UVM Police Services, located at 12 Centennial Woods Way, or call ahead with any questions - 802-656-3473

What to Bring:
Your vehicle
Valid ID
VIN Verification Form or other DMV paperwork
