Lieutenant Craig Callahan was promoted to Captain last night. He has been a Lieutenant since 2020 and has been with BFD since 2009. He’s pictured here with his wife Courtney. Craig is now the Captain of Group 2. We wish him success in his new position.

Last night FF David Rosenberger was promoted to Lieutenant. He is pictured with his wife Melissa and two children. He has been a valued member of the department since 2018. We wish him luck in his new position with group 3.

Serving with Strength 👩‍🚒

The Burlington Fire Department marked a first for the town yesterday: an all-female firefighter/paramedic crew on duty.

Firefighter/Paramedics Rebecca Donahue and Jacklyn Teebagy are part of a team that responds to emergencies, provides critical care, and supports residents through some of life’s most difficult moments.

Their service reflects the impact women continue to make in public safety and across our community. In honor of Women’s History Month, you can read more about Rebecca and Jacklyn in the March edition of our e-newsletter, Burlington Brief, out next week.

We are not having a great turnout for our blood drive tomorrow and could really use your help.

The reason the Burlington Fire Department and Burlington Police Departments started doing these competitive blood drives was to make sure that the people who are inevitably going to need blood in the summer months will have a better chance to survive.
