We had a great time yesterday at the Alamance Dream Center supporting families at the Pre-K Developmental Screening event!

ACHD was on site assisting with screenings and sharing health information and resources to help set future NC Pre-K students up for success. Thanks to all the families who came out as they prepare for the 2026–2027 school year! ✏️✨

Missed this event? There’s another opportunity for developmental screenings at the Alamance County Health Department on July 14. We look forward to continuing to support families as they prepare for a smooth start to school!

Supporting youth mental health is a shared responsibility. Families, schools, healthcare providers, and communities all play a role in early identification and support.

We are working with SAFE Alamance and Alamance-Burlington School System to address some common misconceptions about applying for free/reduced cost breakfast and lunch for our students.

Note: We will host the Triad Goodwill’s Goodwill On the Go Mobile Unit on the second Tuesday of every month to assist those who may have difficulties accessing or using the online application.
