We are excited to announce that RAD-VT members have voted to endorse Amanda Janoo for Governor and Esther Charlestin for Lieutenant Governor!

Both candidates are committed to addressing our state’s many challenges through transformative solutions like:

- Implementing Act 48, Vermont’s universal healthcare law passed in 2011;

- Regulating rent increases and investing public dollars in permanently affordable housing development;

- Raising state taxes on the wealthiest Vermonters;

- Ensuring Vermont’s public education system has the resources it needs without placing inequitable burdens on taxpayers;

- Regulating the construction and operation of data centers; and

- Resisting federal overreach and protecting Vermonters from Trump’s authoritarian federal government.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting these two powerful women who are offering a uniquely hopeful vision for Vermont’s future, and who will fight alongside us for Vermont’s multiracial working class.

Both candidates will be on the ballot for the August 11 Democratic primary. We encourage you to learn more about them, donate, and sign up to volunteer on their websites: https://www.janooforvt.com and https://charlestinforvermont.com.

The Vermont House is scheduled to vote on a powerful amendment to H.933 (Miscellaneous Tax Bill) THIS AFTERNOON!

Congress and the President have taken our hard-earned tax dollars to give massive tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations. Tell your representatives to vote YES on an amendment to recapture a portion of those federal tax breaks to raise state revenue for needed investments in Vermont.

RAD VT is a member of the Fiar Share for Vermont Coalition, which has been advocating for policy like this all legislative session. Although not included in the bill that passed out of committee, our representatives have an unexpected opportunity to vote on a floor amendment to add two new tax brackets for income over $500,000 and income over $1 million.

Follow our link to tell your representatives to vote YES on the "Priestley/Cole" amendment!

URGENT ACTION ALERT! H.772 would be a sweeping rollback of long-standing tenant protections and will have immediate, harmful consequences for VTers. The VT House is scheduled to vote on it TOMORROW, 3/25. Contact your reps TODAY!

Right now, Vermont’s housing crisis is at a breaking point.

Policy decisions have led us to an unprecedented housing crisis, and as a result, Vermont is currently facing the 4th highest rate of homelessness in the country. Instead of providing relief, the legislature is considering H. 772—a bill that would fast-track evictions and strip away essential tenant protections for thousands of our neighbors.

Lawmakers are deciding the fate of H. 772 today. We’re calling on our lawmakers to prioritize people over displacement.

We need your voice today! Please go to action.aclu.org/send-message/vt-landlord-tenant and urge your representative(s) to vote NO on H.772.
