ANEW Place provides a holistic continuum of services for the homeless, centered in love and dignity. Holistic Support | We believe in valuing the whole person.

ANEW Place is consistently embarking upon new programming to meet the changing needs of Burlington’s homeless. Our hope is to teach skills for long-term change, encourage guests to build self esteem, and connect them in relationship with community members who have a heart to serve. We are guided by the following values:

Love and Dignity | We believe that all people deserve dignity and respect. We

provide a diverse, welcoming environment, free of judgment and full of compassion, for those who need it most. We emphasize all areas of wellness including social, mental, physical, spiritual, relational, and occupational to support health and growth. Community Engagement | We believe that thriving people come from a thriving community. We connect guests with our community-wide network of resources, creating continued partnerships for shared growth. Tools for Change | We believe all people can change. We create unique paths for positive, lifelong change and equip each person with the tools to get there.

A huge thank you to Vivid Coffee for opening their doors and welcoming us in, and to Sons G&P for the most amazing BBQ spread. The food was absolutely unreal. We could not have done this without them!

In most homes, the kitchen is where people naturally gather. It’s where meals are shared, stories are told, and a sense of belonging begins to take shape.

At ANEW Place, the kitchen is the center of daily life. Each evening, community members bring a meal for our guests, and the house comes together around the table. These shared meals do more than nourish. They create connection, consistency, and a feeling of home during a season of transition.

We are renovating our kitchen to better support this daily rhythm of hospitality and community. At the same time, we’ll be renovating two of the home’s bathrooms to support health, dignity, and the rhythms of daily life in the house.

ANEW Season BBQ is a fundraiser for ANEW Place that brings people together for an evening of great food, live music, and stories of hope. Attendees will enjoy a barbecue dinner prepared by Sons G&P, featuring smoked brisket, pulled chicken, mac & cheese, Texas Twinkies, biscuits, slaw, desserts, and more.

Generously sponsored by150 Cherry St. and hosted by Vivid Coffee, all proceeds from the evening will benefit ANEW Place and support adults working toward stable housing and a fresh start.
