Our heartfelt congratulations goes out to Coffey County's newest KLETC Graduate- Deputy Levi Broers!

Deputy Broers graduated from the 361st Basic Training Class today, also earning the "Physical Fitness Award" for his class.

"The KLETC Basic Training Program prepares new law enforcement officers for service through an intensive 14-week academy experience. Students complete 571 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on training focused on legal foundations, officer safety, decision-making, and real-world policing skills."

Broers originally joined the Coffey County Sheriff's Office in 2024 as a Detention Officer, more recently applying to join our incredible team of Law Enforcement Officers. In celebration of this achievement, he was joined by Sheriff Johnson, Undersheriff Smith, Lt. Detective Honn, and SRO Honn today.

Congratulations on completing this milestone, Deputy Broers! We look forward to seeing you succeed as Coffey County's newest deputy.

We are proud supporters of the OK Kids Fishing Tournament, Paintball, and the Free BBQ Supper, all held on September 12, 2026 this year!

WOW! A HUGE shout out to the Coffey County Commissioners for approving a $3,000 donation and to Commissioner Wayde Thomsen for his personal donation of $200 to the Zombie 2k/5k For Special Olympics! this morning!

This incredible generosity puts us at $6,635 raised so far on the road to raising $10,000 for Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, COF Training Services, Inc., and Burlington Special Olympics & Unified Sports!

Just $3,365 left to raise! Help us get to $10,000 and we will WAIVE the $20 participant fees for the event on October 24th. Make a donation by September 15th in order to have your name or business listed on the back of our t-shirts. THIS EVENT is a participating event for the Coffey County Wellness Circuit!
