Come take our annual Fit4Fire SCBA Air Consumption Assessment with Lieutenant/Paramedic Wilson! This annual assessment that members are completing this week consists of 10 firefighting related stations which members complete while ā€œon airā€. Once those 10 stations are completed, members restart the circuit and continue until all of the air in their SCBA bottle is consumed.

We were pleased to have Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak join members of A-Shift today for our live burn training at the Vermont Fire Academy.

Live burn training provides firefighters with hands-on experience in fire behavior, suppression tactics, and teamwork under controlled conditions.

Thank you to Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak for taking the time to see firsthand the importance of ongoing firefighter training and the commitment our members make to serving and protecting our community.

Earlier today, Ladder 2 was called to Battery Park for ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain while following their mother. The ducks were quickly removed from the drain, were not injured and seemed to be in good spirits!
