💙 Volunteer Spotlight: Helen Easton💙
For more than 20 years, Helen has been a dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteer, delivering not only nutritious meals but also kindness, connection, and peace of mind to older adults in our community.

Born in England, Helen moved to Lexington in 1992 with her husband and two young children. Today, she is a proud grandmother of two and continues to make a meaningful difference through her volunteer service.

In 2024, Helen was honored with a Legislative Citation Award from Representative Michelle Ciccolo in recognition of her 20 years of service at Minuteman!🥳

"Meeting some of these volunteers or other drivers gives many opportunities for connections that wouldn't necessarily be available. Giving back in any small way is very rewarding and it allows me to feel useful as I age."

For many older adults and individuals living with disabilities, understanding available benefits and resources can be difficult to manage alone.

Our SHINE Program provides free, state-certified counseling to help Massachusetts residents understand their healthcare coverage, explore cost-saving options, and connect with programs that can improve their financial well-being.💙

Our Money Management Program helps consumers organize their finances, pay bills on time, and gain peace of mind so they can focus on what matters most.

We're proud to provide personalized support that helps people maintain their independence and financial well-being.

Sometimes, the greatest benefit of support is the peace of mind it provides. Our Money Management Program offers ongoing assistance that helps individuals stay organized and maintain their financial well-being, giving individuals the support they need to succeed.

We believe cost shouldn't be a barrier to getting help. That's why this service is offered free to many eligible individuals, with low-cost options available for others.

Please be cautious, as localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas, near small streams, and on roads with poor drainage. A Flood Watch is currently in effect for Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Worcester Counties.

This Disability Pride Month, we're honoring a movement that has strong roots right here in Massachusetts. It's not only a celebration, but it's a call to advocate for inclusion, amplify disabled voices, and support access and opportunity.
