🎄CHRISTMAS PARADE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 🎄

It’s time to get your floats, kiddos, and holiday spirit ready! 🎅🎁 Registration for the 79th Annual Burlington Christmas Parade is officially OPEN and will be accepted online or in-person through November 8, 2026!

🎅 PARADE ENTRY CATEGORIES
*Commercial Entry – All for-profit businesses and organizations
*Community Organization Entry – All non-profit organizations or organized civic & youth clubs
*Antique Car Entry – Vehicle must be 25+ years old
*Car Club Entry – Maximum of 6 vehicles per club. No advertisements allowed.
(Register in person only.)

🚨 IMPORTANT DRIVER & VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS 🚨

*All vehicle drivers must be 21+ years old to register.
*To receive a Parade Pass, the driver of EACH registered vehicle must submit the following, and all documents must remain valid through the date of the event (November 21, 2026):

1️⃣ Valid Driver’s License
2️⃣ Valid Vehicle Registration for the vehicle that will be used
3️⃣ Proof of Liability Insurance

📍 Documents may be submitted in person at:
Recreation & Parks Administrative Offices
1333 Overbrook Road
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

These items will be used to confirm driver and vehicle information on the day of the parade.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: If the vehicle or driver information does not match the information submitted, the parade unit will be pulled from the lineup with NO REFUND.

With storms expected this evening, we’re making a few changes to tonight’s 4th Fridays in Downtown Burlington. While our outdoor food trucks and vendors will not be set up downtown, the music is still on — and moving indoors!

The 2026 Alamance Adventure Race is happening Saturday, September 26th! Get ready for 12 hours of fun and epic challenges! The Alamance Adventure Race is a county-wide scavenger hunt for all ages. Teams will visit parks, businesses, open areas, and more! If it's in Alamance County, you're probably going there! Challenges are scaled in points based on the challenge, difficulty, or location.

🎄 We know... we know... it's still summer. The Halloween candy hasn't even hit the shelves, but Christmas Parade planning waits for no one!

We're accepting Grand Marshal nominations for this year's 79th Annual Burlington Christmas Parade. 🎅✨

The Christmas Parade Grand Marshal is someone who has made a meaningful impact on the Burlington community through their civic involvement, volunteerism, and service. If someone immediately came to mind while reading that sentence, we want to hear about them!

The Burlington Recreation Commission will review all nominations and select this year's Grand Marshal. The selection is based solely on the information submitted, so don't be shy—tell us exactly why your nominee deserves this honor. The more detail, the better!

4th Fridays Concert Series- July 2026 is pivoting due to forecasted inclement weather! Let’s still hang out together (indoors) for an evening of live music, local businesses, and great company in Downtown Burlington.

1️⃣Start out at Burlington Beer Works from 5:30pm to 6:45 pm with music from Tyler Rathbone Music.
2️⃣Then head down Front Street to the Burlington Food Hall and Occasions Restaurant to enjoy tabletop arcade games & other fun activities from Fun 360°Cam.
3️⃣The Burlington Food Hall will also host Carri Smithey+Keith Ingalls from 7pm-9pm, so be sure to stop along the way to explore, eat, and shop.
