Duty Crew Tuesday!!

Tonight your Station 303 Volunteers completed our weekly drill which was drafting operations from a static source. The crew completed some driver training and then went over to Independent Fire Company No. 1 to practice drafting from the porta-pond.

The pond holds 3500 gallons of water and crews practiced using hard suction to supply a discharge (hoseline) off the truck.

We are fortunate in Township to have hydrants but we do encounter the need for drafting in surrounding communities that do not so it's imperative the crews are familiar with the process !

Tonight's duty crew also included members from BeverlyRoad FireCompany !!

Come visit us in a Tuesday to join... you know you want to and we would love to speak with you!

Stay safe everyone!

πŸš’ An elevator rescue with a photo op ending! 🐾

We responded to a call for a gentleman and his pup stuck in an elevator. Thankfully, we were able to get them out safely with an assist from our local friendly police officer !

After the rescue, we had the chance to grab a photo together. It was great meeting you and your four-legged sidekick β€” just wish it had been under different circumstances! πŸ˜‚πŸΆ

Glad everyone is safe and back on solid ground!

Summer is prime time for backyard barbecues, but did you know that July is the peak month for grill fires? Before you fire up the grates this weekend, Sparky the Fire Dog and the Burlington Township Fire Department want to make sure fire safety is at the top of your menu!

A safe grill today means everyone goes home tomorrow. Keep your family, pets, and home safe by following these essential grilling tips and remember: when in doubt, put it out! If you experience a grill fire, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Tonight members from all three Township Fire Stations attended the Fire and EMS Annual Memorial Service at the Emergency Services Training Center. This service is beyond meaningful in remembering those members who have passed on for not only their loved ones and families and friends but for the current members of The Fire Service, Emergency Medical Servcies and our brothers and sister in the Law Enforcement Community.

The message is clear, especially as we approach 25 years after The September 11th Attacks...

We will never forget. We owe it to all those lost and their families to continue to answer calls for help, no matter how big or small.

Stay safe everyone.
