Step Into History and Explore Our Heritage! 🏡🌻

For the next part of our Pass Experience series, we’re highlighting the incredible Rokeby Museum! Whether you’re passionate about American history, looking to explore Vermont's role in the Underground Railroad, or simply wanting a peaceful walk through historic grounds and trails, your Fletcher Free Library card is your ticket to this National Historic Landmark.

Use your FFL card to borrow the Rokeby Museum pass and get tickets for free! It's time to stomp into summer with Fletcher Free Kids! 🌞🦖📚 Kids and their families are invited to join the 2026 "Unearth a Story" Summer Challenge at a kickoff celebration on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. Local authors, Lake Monster baseball players, Champ, free shirts for kids (while supplies last) and lots of fun activities await! Come back Sunday, June 21 at 4 p.m. for the one and only Dinoman, bringing life-sized inflatable dinosaurs to the Main Reading Room. It's going to be a dino-mite summer!

Calling all young creatives, storytellers, and Shrek enthusiasts! Fletcher Free Teen Space is joining Media Factory for an epic summer project: Crowdsourced Cinema VT: Shrek! 🎬🫏🧌✨

If you are ages 10-18, this is your chance to join a crew of beginner and amateur filmmakers to recreate a scene from Shrek. Your masterpiece will become part of a real, full-length, crowdsourced feature film!

Have a story to tell? An idea to share? A passion you're excited about? Join us for a hands-on introduction to PechaKucha, a fun presentation format that uses images and storytelling to bring ideas to life.

⏰ 4:00–5:30 PM

📍 Fletcher Room, Fletcher Free Library

Fletcher Free Library and PechaKucha Burlington organizers will guide participants through creating their own presentation using either:

• PechaKucha: 20 slides × 20 seconds

• Mini PechaKucha: 10 slides × 10 seconds

No presentation experience needed—just curiosity and creativity!

Participants will also have the opportunity to share their presentations at a special family-friendly PechaKucha event at the library on August 1.
