🚨 KEYNOTE SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
We are honored to welcome Todd Maxson, MD as a keynote speaker at the Vermont EMS Conference.
Dr. Maxson is Surgeon-in-Chief at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Professor of Surgery at UAMS, and a nationally recognized leader in pediatric trauma systems. He has led the creation of three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers across Texas and Arkansas and played a central role in building the Arkansas State Trauma System, cutting preventable injury deaths by 50%.
But his story is deeply personal.
In 2017, Dr. Maxson became a trauma patient himself after a life-threatening motorcycle crash—saved by the very trauma system he helped design. Cared for by EMS, emergency physicians, surgeons, and a coordinated trauma network, he experienced firsthand what strong systems, training, and teamwork truly mean.
A surgeon. A system-builder. A trauma survivor.
This keynote will speak directly to EMS professionals, highlighting the impact of what you do—every shift, every call.
