Burlington, your donation can make a difference 🩸

The American Red Cross has declared the second national blood crisis in its history, with donations at a four-year summer low. Blood is urgently needed for patients undergoing cancer treatments and surgeries, as well as those facing traumatic injuries and other medical emergencies.

Burlington has an opportunity to help tomorrow, August 14, at a community blood drive:

The Massachusetts State Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Over the next several weeks, we'll be sharing important details and deadlines about voter registration, early voting, vote-by-mail, and everything you need to know before Election Day.

💧 Water Shutoff Notice: Wednesday, August 12

The Water Department will temporarily shut off water in the Frothingham Road area beginning at 9 AM on Wednesday, August 12 to replace a fire hydrant.

Water will remain off until the replacement is complete. When service is restored, you may experience some discoloration. If so, please run your water for a short period of time until it clears.

With another heat wave in the forecast, now's a good time to remember that every drop counts 💧

Burlington's Even/Odd Outdoor Watering Rules remain in effect:
- Even-numbered addresses may water on even-numbered days
- Odd-numbered addresses may water on odd-numbered days
- No outdoor watering between 9 AM and 5 PM

🎬 Lights, camera...action!

BCAT's Video Vacation Week is back August 17 – 21 from 2 PM - 5 PM, giving middle school students the chance to step behind the camera, in front of the camera, and everywhere in between.

During this free, hands-on program, participants will learn the basics of video production, explore directing, audio, graphics, and more, then work together to create their own production to air on BCAT and YouTube. No experience is required!
