We need your help!

The last Downtown Burlington Parking Study was completed in 2016. Since then, Downtown Burlington has seen:

🏗️ More than $75 million in investment
🏪 52 new businesses opened
🏠 200+ new residential units added
🎉 Thousands more people visiting, working, dining, shopping, and living downtown

A lot has changed in 10 years, and now it's time to find out what YOU think about parking.

Is there enough parking?
Do you always find a spot?
Should employees park differently?
Do you secretly guard "your" parking space like a family heirloom?

Whatever your opinion, we want to hear it.

It's World Bicycle Day, and if you're hearing that song in your head now, you're welcome. 🎶

Today is the perfect day to hop on two wheels and explore all the beauty Burlington has to offer. Cruise along the riverfront, take in those Mississippi River views, pedal the trails, and enjoy some fresh air while soaking up this gorgeous weather.

Whether you're training for the next big ride, taking the kids for a spin, or just looking for an excuse to get outside, Downtown Burlington and our riverfront are ready for you.

💩🐾 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DOWNTOWN BURLINGTON 🐾💩

We need to have a little talk.
To the dog owners who think their furry friend is secretly invisible when nature calls...

👀 We see you.
📹 The cameras see you.
🐕 Your dog definitely sees you.

And while your pup may be proud of their accomplishment, the rest of Downtown Burlington should not have to dodge it on the way to coffee, shopping, dinner, or work

A friendly reminder that Burlington City Code § 65.23 requires pet owners to immediately pick up and properly dispose of pet waste, including the little ‘I’ll get it next time’ surprise left behind.

Downtown makes it easy to do the right thing:
🟢 Waste stations are located throughout Downtown.
🗑️ Garbage cans are on every block.
🏙️ And yes... you have to clean it up in the alley, too.

Consider this your friendly nudge. 👀 We see you.

🏛️ CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF TRANSFORMATION: SCHRAMM’S CORNER ON JEFFERSON STREET ✨

As Downtown Burlington celebrates 40 years as a Main Street community, few buildings tell the story of transformation quite like Schramm’s Corner on the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

This iconic building has been part of Burlington’s story since the 1800s. From grocery and dry goods to the beloved Schramm’s Department Store, generations of residents walked through these doors. And when the store closed in 1997 after more than a century of retail history, many communities may have seen an ending.

Downtown Burlington saw possibility.

Through restoration efforts in the 1990s, the building’s original Late Victorian Gothic façade was uncovered and brought back to life, reversing decades of changes and restoring the architectural beauty that still turns heads today.

Now? Schramm’s Corner is once again full of life. Upper-story residential condos, active storefronts, specialty retail, service businesses, and new energy continue to fill the space with activity and community.

This transformation did not happen by accident. It happened because people believed in Downtown Burlington before it was trendy or easy. Visionaries like Bob Brueck, lovingly known as “Mr. Downtown,” saw opportunity where others saw empty buildings and helped lay the foundation for the vibrant district we continue building today.

Schramm’s Corner is more than a restored building. It is proof of what can happen when a community commits to preservation, investment, partnership, and believing in its downtown.

Forty years later… the work continues.
And yes… It’s still happening in Downtown Burlington 💙
