The Praise Ceremony today during the 4th of July celebration in West Burlington did a great job honoring veterans. Some Auxiliary members were there to help support the Detachment at their recruiting tent and at the praise ceremony. Thanks to all veterans for your service - you are not forgotten.

We had the privilege of honoring this veteran in hospice with his wish to stand and salute the flag one final time. It was a very touching ceremony to see with all the doctors and nurses in the ward being present to share with him. So glad to have gotten the call to assist with this special task. It definitely made a difference to this Vietnam vet.

Come down and join us at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium on June 8th at 6 pm.

We only have a few weeks left before the convention so let's think about the 2026 Department of Iowa Convention is June 19th and 20th, 2026 at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, IA. Here is the link for the hotel:
